The Health Federation of Philadelphia is pleased to announce that on Thursday, January 21, 2021, CEO Natalie Levkovich was honored as the third place finalist for the Not for Profit Social Impact Innovators Award under the category Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion during the The Greater Philadelphia 2021 Social Innovations Journal Awards. The Social Innovations Journal honors the region’s most passionate and accomplished social innovators and entrepreneurs and the work that they are doing to make Greater Philadelphia a more inclusive, equitable and thriving region of opportunity for all of its residents.
Ms. Levkovich was honored for "embodying visionary leadership, bringing together behavioral health, health centers, payers, and national experts to create an incredible healthcare network. Natalie has been at the forefront of creating and advocating for the integrated care model, seamlessly embedding behavioral health services into medical care, and addressing the holistic needs of countless lives in the Philadelphia region and surrounding areas. She has been a tireless advocate for policy and reimbursement changes, allowing the integrated model not just to exist but to flourish. Natalie is a thought and practice leader, not just in Southeastern PA, but nationally as well. She is selfless is sharing her wisdom and expertise, creating training, advocacy, and practice improvement systems that have advanced the integration of comprehensive and high-quality care. Natalie has always remained particularly focused on issues of equity, expanding access and quality care to clinics and individuals often under-resourced and marginalized."

2021 Social Innovations Awards Celebrates Greater Philadelphia’s Unsung Social Impact Heroes
7th Annual Awards Event Honored More Than 60 Greater Philadelphia Social Sector Leaders
(PHILADEPHIA) -- The Social Innovations Journal announced the 2021 Greater Philadelphia Social Innovations Awards winners. The seventh annual awards event was held Thursday, January 21, 2021. The event drew Greater Philadelphia’s government, private, not-for-profit and philanthropy region’s social change and impact leaders and organizations.
“The 2021 Social Innovations Awards was a special opportunity to shed light on the work of social entrepreneurs, leaders, changemakers and organizations driving equity and inclusion across Greater Philadelphia,” said Nicholas Torres, co-founder of the Social Innovations Journal. “We are humbled to have the opportunity to recognize the work of these individuals whose efforts often go unacknowledged despite the lasting impact that their commitment makes in paving a road for social mobility for those most in need. We applaud this year’s cohort of disruptors who see opportunity in society’s biggest issues and whose tireless efforts make our communities better places to call home.” The annual awards event celebrated the evening’s 60 awardees across 11 categories with key messages from award presenters and inspirational acceptance speeches from the award winners.

The top three vote recipients in each of the 11 categories received an award while notable nominees received acknowledgement in recognition of their contributions. The 2021 Social Innovation Awards included leaders from foundations, organizations, nonprofits, for profits, government and academic institutions. The award finalists were nominated and selected through a democratic process which included participation by more than 4000 members of the public.
The theme of the 2021 awards, "Innovating Ideas, Revolutionizing Realities," reflects the organic leadership re-envisioning challenges faced by communities as opportunities to create solutions through innovative ideas that are improving the Greater Philadelphia region. The annual award event focuses on social innovators, social entrepreneurs, social impact leaders and organizations working to improve the area through new initiatives, programs and policies that disrupt the status quo to create a more equitable and inclusive today.
